With humor as slick as their body language- few lines from Baruchel doesn't fit in appropriately though- and flamboyancy on their rhythm that makes you scream for its awesomeness, it makes you want to warp back to your childhood days, never has someone loved something such unconditionally. The cathartic equation of this trio is the root of the film. She does she may not follow it but she does. But above all what fascinates me the most is how he reserves his persona on both on and off screen, I hardly remember yelling him ever on screen, Freeman had to jump in and point out, "You think she can hear you from here?" The answer is yes. Magnanimous is his vision and is exactly what he gets. There is mutual love and respect, if there is sincerity in Eastwood's methods, the response is equally charming. It's as simple as that, over the years, watching him blend in, in all sorts of genre there never seems any doubt how much he adores the cinema.

Million Dollar Baby Eastwood makes it look easy. There is mutual love and respect, if there is sincerity in Eastwood's methods, A Good Bold Deed. That's all I have to say for that masterpiece. I don't understand the negative reviews and I don't want to spend any time telling my opinion for them and i simply understand that some people don't have a heart. I actually thought that i was feeling what she was feeling. Million dollar baby also shows how difficult is for a person that loves you to decide whether you are going to live or die.

A depressive sport movie that it is really touching and it shows friendship and love. Million times if you see that film a tear will come out from your eye. Quietly quite magnificent.Million dollar baby is a story about a female boxer who decides in her early 30's to star boxing. She goes to a gym to exercise and there she finds a coach. Far more restrained than the sometimes atypically overwrought ‘Mystic River’, this displays the (deceptive) simplicity of a ‘Bird’ (its exploration of complex ethical issues manages to be both forthright and subtle), the emotional richness and integrity of a ‘Bridges of Madison County’, and the dramatic assurance and expertise of a ‘Josey Wales’. This is Clint at his best: giving a beautifully nuanced performance himself, allowing Freeman and the rest of the cast enough time and space to fully inhabit their roles, eliciting an Oscar-worthy performance from Swank, and executing the whole thing with a classical grace, clarity and integrity seldom seen in modern mainstream cinema.

To be aware of more of the plot would almost certainly diminish your enjoyment of the movie’s storytelling skills, not to mention its devastating emotional effect. But this one won’t take ‘no’ for an answer.ĭon’t, please, read or listen to anything that tells you more than the above the only other thing you need know is that Eastwood’s latest is a tremendous movie you should see, even if you think boxing pictures aren’t for you. Not that the boss often heeds his advice: when Maggie (Hilary Swank), a po’-white-trash waitress from the Ozarks, turns up asking for tuition, Scraps sees real talent, but Frankie insists she’s too inexperienced, too old… and a woman. But if that’s so, Frankie’s life outside the gym is so private that the only person likely to understand his aversion to risk-taking is Scraps (Morgan Freeman), an ex-boxer who helps run the place. At his gym in downtown LA, Frankie Dunne (Clint Eastwood) has been training and managing boxers for years, and not without success, though some of his fighters suspect that his motto – always protect yourself – has made him overly cautious with regard to championship bids.
